Potato pie (if you are tired of dieting)


 

 

 


 

Potato cake is my own invention. I always eat healthy to keep my weight balanced.

I don’t like to eat because food is poison to me. Food is a slow poison that makes a woman look old.

There was a time in my life when I ate tuna and tomatoes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I lost 26 kilograms of extra weight in 2 years.

The potato cake is for those times when you don’t want to eat meat (because meat with pasta, rice or potatoes makes you fat) but are hungry for more food.

The potato cake does not make you fat because it contains broccoli, onions and carrots.

Well, maybe you’ll gain 300 grams. You can diet after this potato cake and you will be slim as always.

 


Potatocake

 

Oven temperature: 175 ° C

Ingredients:

6 grated potatoes

1 carrot

100 grams of broccoli

1 small onion

Add garlic to your taste.

2 or 3 eggs

Salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 dl white flour

1 dl cooking oil

Mix all ingredients into a dough. Pour the batter into a mold. Bake in the lower part of the oven for about 45 minutes.

Chocolate cupcakes (15 – 20 pieces)

Oven temperature: 175 Celsius degrees to 200 Celsius degrees

Baking time: approximately 10-15 minutes

15 or 20 cupcake tins (paper or aluminium)

100 grams margarine or butter (room temperature)

2 eggs

3 dl sugar (1 litre = 10 dl)

2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar

1/2 teaspoon of salt

4 or 5 tablespoons of chocolate powder (cocoa powder)

2 dl flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Mix the eggs and sugar with an electric mixing device. Add the butter or margarine and continue to mix all this. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

You will need 15 or 20 small cupcake tins. Distribute the cupcake mass into the tins. Do not fill the tins to more than 3/4. Bake the cupcakes during 10 or 15 minutes.

Serve with coffee. You can prepare the coffee in a thermos. When you summon the demons it will be time to distribute it into small coffee cups.

Traditional Swedish food: my favourite food – Raggmunkar (Ragg monks)


 

 

 


Raggmunkar

 

2 servings

1 dl wheat flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2, 5 dl milk

1 egg

about 500 grams of potatoes

oil, butter or margarine for frying in the frying pan

Get a bowl. Pour wheat flour, 1 dl of the milk and salt into the bowl. Mix everything into a batter.

Add the rest of the milk and egg, and mix everything into a batter. Peel the potatoes and grate them.

Chefs may insist that you grate the potatoes very finely. I’m not doing this.

Sometimes I do not peel the potatoes because I lack time. Unfortunately, I grate the potatoes roughly.

Mix the potatoes in the batter. Fry Raggmunkar just as you fry pancakes or platters.

You can eat Raggmunkar together with lingonberry jam. But they taste good even without lingonberry jam.

I do not like potatoes: mashed, fried, boiled or in soup! But I like Raggmunkar a lot.
